The Wave Spa and Wellness Centres opens this month, offering a rejuvenating retreat within the Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross Hotel.
When I heard that a new spa had opened in Buckinghamshire, I was keen to take a look. Formerly The Bellhouse Spa and Leisure Club, a multi-million pound transformation has turned it into the Wave Spa and Wellness Centre, a super-luxurious, state-of-the-art haven of health and beauty.
On arrival I settled into the Juice Bar where I sipped a delicious carrot and ginger smoothie and perused the list of beauty treatments available. There’s a great selection to choose from. Signature therapies include ESPA and Jessica treatments, Rasul Mud Therapy, reflexology and consultations with Brow Guru Sarah-Jayne Williams. I opted for a luxurious ESPA facial – 55 minutes of pure indulgence, which left my skin plumped up and hydrated.
After a quick tour of the Precor gym and exercise suites, I headed downstairs to while away an hour or two in the beautiful 25ml pool, sauna and steam room. The sensory lighting over the pool really is beautiful, with lights twinkling like stars above you as you float in the water.
Just 17 minutes outside of London, the Wave Spa and Wellness Centre is conveniently situated on the Oxford Road. Easy to get to and masses of parking, too.
Membership to Wave Spa and Wellness includes unlimited usage of the gym, pool and classes. Throughout May and June an introductory offer of £60 for a 30-day trial (standard price £110) is available. For those not lucky enough to be local, Pamper Days are available from £120 and Weekend Retreats including a stay at the new Crowne Plaza Gerrards Cross start from £230.
