The exhilarating London in the Sky restaurant returns to the capital from 17-30 September with a brand new location and an exciting new line-up of chefs.
Suspended 25 metres from the ground, the restaurant offers breakfast, lunch, dinner and Champagne Taittinger ‘flights’ for guests with a head for heights!
The table seats 22 guests who are securely fastened in before the platform is raised from the ground and the food is prepared and served in front of diners in the centre of the table.
Food will come from Dan Doherty of Duck & Waffle, Robert Ortiz of Lima, Sophie Michell of Pont St, Mike Reid of M Restaurants, Martin Morales of Ceviche and Andina, Tom Aikens of Tom’s Kitchen, Calum Franklin of Holborn Dining Room and Chantelle Nicholson of Tredwell’s from Marcus Wareing, with further chefs to be announced.
This year the view moves from the skyscrapers of Canary Wharf to the iconic vistas around the River Thames as the restaurant will run at Upper Ground on London’s South Bank.
Dale Agar of Events in the Sky says: ‘With sweeping views of some of London’s most iconic buildings, our new location at South Bank on the Thames is a fantastic spot for this year’s London in the Sky event. The new site is great for guests due to its unique views, proximity to key transport hubs and nearby attractions including the BFI, Hayward Gallery and Queen Elizabeth Hall. We look forward to hosting some of the capital’s most talented chefs for this once in a lifetime experience next month.’
