Ahead of her sell-out show at The Royal Albert Hall Kylie Minogue performed an intimate, acoustic set of Christmas hits and Kylie classics at The Ivy, West Street, London, last week (7 December 2016).
This was to kick off the celebrations for The Ivy’s Centenary Year in 2017 and the announcement that The Ivy Collection will be coming to Marlow, Buckinghamshire, in the Spring.
It only seemed right to start the celebrations at Christmas, with the nation’s favourite Aussie songstress. Kylie surprised VIP guests and Ivy customers with a pop-up performance of some of her classic songs including Can’t Get You Out Of My Head and Love At First Sight, as well as iconic Christmas hits such as Santa Baby and Let It Snow.
Kylie was joined by her fiance, actor Joshua Sasse, as well a host of famous faces, including designers William Baker and Patrick Cox, Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood and comedian Alan Carr. Also enjoying the evening were actors Elizabeth Hurley, Jessica De Gouw, Daisy Lewis, Kristen Scott Thomas, Luke Evans and Andrew Scott.
‘We are incredibly excited to have Kylie perform here , and start our centenary year celebrations,’ explained Fernando Peire, Director of The Ivy and The Club at The Ivy. ‘Kylie has long been a friend and patron of The Ivy and we could not think of a more perfect musician to celebrate with us. This is just the beginning of what we have in store for our centenary year.’
The Ivy Collection will open a café-style brasserie at 66-68 High Street, Marlow in Spring 2017. The restaurant will feature an all-day dining menu and will be open seven days a week
